We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our AI-powered study guide service
- Process your uploaded content to generate study materials
- Manage your account and subscription
- Send important updates about your account
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the service
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use:
- Supabase for secure database storage
- OpenAI API for AI processing (subject to OpenAI's privacy policy)
- Stripe for payment processing (we never store credit card details)
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
- Account data (email, subscription status) — kept until you delete your account
- Uploaded transcripts — processed in real time and not stored on our servers beyond session use
- Generated study guides — kept until you delete them or delete your account
- Payment records — retained as required by Stripe and applicable financial regulations
When you delete your account, all associated personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
5. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- OpenAI (to process transcripts and generate study guides)
- Stripe (to process payments securely)
- Service providers who help us operate the platform

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your study guides
- Opt out of marketing emails
7. GDPR and CCPA Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have additional rights:

- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data), and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Nshoom is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at info@nshoom.io and we will promptly delete the account and associated data.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session and improve your experience. Specifically, we use:

- Authentication tokens — managed by Supabase to verify your identity
